KSS VP Chairs Major Petroleum Conference

Mark Hawtin, VP Business Development takes leading role in downstream petroleum conference attracting over 200 delegates

Manchester, 12 March 2008 – Knowledge Support Systems (KSS) Limited, the leading global supplier of wholesale and retail fuels price analytics, management and optimisation software, recently took a leading role in the PetroForum 2008 downstream petroleum conference, held in Oman from 4th to 6th March.

Following the success of PetroForum 2006 in Dubai, this years conference attracted over 200 delegates from Europe, Middle East, Africa, India, South-East Asia and Australasia who came together to explore key developments in the downstream petroleum sector. The conference also provided opportunities to meet with suppliers to explore how to address some of the key challenges facing the industry.

In the role of Chairman, KSS’ Mark Hawtin opened the Conference by highlighting many of the challenges downstream petroleum companies face and went on to introduce Innovation as the conference theme. Mark then introduced a line-up of experienced speakers, representing industry experts, practitioners and operating companies, starting with Arthur Hanna, International Managing Director of Accenture’s Energy Practice, who gave a keynote presentation on “The Future for Energy, with a focus on Alternative Fuels”.
