Latest KSS PriceNet 4.6 release helps address volatility, compliance and biofuels pricing

Manchester, UK — April 8th, 2008. KSS, the global leading supplier of pricing analytics, execution and optimization systems to fuels wholesalers and retailers, announces the release of the latest version of its PriceNet retail fuels price management and optimization system.

The release of PriceNet 4.6 follows a period of close collaboration with customers and business partners to identify, define and deliver the highest priority pricing requirements. In addition to improvements to existing functionality, the 4.6 version extends PriceNet’s capabilities to help fuels retailers in the following areas:

Cost and price volatility – additions including internet price-checking, overnight and weekend pricing, and performance enhancements combine with existing PriceNet Mobile and PriceNet Web modules to rapidly identify the need for price changes and enable a faster response
Compliance – more control over user access rights and extensions to the price audit trail, to record how new prices are generated and authorised, reinforces pricing policy and provides the critical information needed to satisfy internal and external compliance requirements
Biofuels – product groups have been introduced to help manage rules-based pricing and price optimization of bio and alternative fuels such as E85 and LPG and to deliver insight into the relationships between fuel types. These significantly enhance the management of biofuels and future alternatives, for example, by identifying cross-price effects with regular fuels to determine the price-point at which customers switch fuel types

PriceNet 4.6 is now on general release and available for upgrade to those using previous versions.
