Top US c-store chain publicly acknowledges KSS contribution to success

Susser Holdings announces rollout of KSS PriceNet to Stripes stores

Florham Park, NJ – Dec. 01, 2008 – during their recent Q3 2008 earnings call to stock market analysts, Susser Holdings Corporation made specific mention of KSS as a contributor to the success of their fuels business and noted that they will complete the rollout of PriceNet to the remainder of their network of stores early in the New Year.

The Corpus Christi, Texas-based convenience store chain owns and operates 511 stores and supplies branded fuel to over 380 independent dealers. KSS had originally sold and implemented its PriceNet solution to Town & Country, acquired by Susser in 2007.

Sam Susser, President and CEO of the publicly quoted $4.4bn company, reported “some of the highest fuel margins we’ve ever seen”, despite the turbulent economic environment and high volatility in both street and wholesale prices.

“We successfully completed a test of the KSS fuel pricing system in our West Texas stores”, said Steve DeSutter, President and CEO of Retail at Susser. “We'll be rolling it out in the legacy Stripe stores, and expect to be live in all retail stores, with a number of our wholesale dealers as well, by the end of January 2009.”

“KSS gives us a tool to analyze daily competitive fuel pricing information from each store location and then provide fuel price recommendations that will help us optimize price and fuel volume relationships at each of our locations,” he added.
