     PriceNet version 4.6

KSS’ new version of PriceNet, version 4.6, is now on general release

 

This new version follows a period of close consultation with customers and business partners to identify, define and deliver the pricing requirements that are most important to them.

In addition to improvements to existing functionality, PriceNet 4.6 extends its capabilities to help fuels retailers in the following areas:

Cost and price volatility

• Internet price-checking – Additional integration capabilities ensure pricing is based on the most reliable and most recent data
• Overnight and weekend pricing - Pricing needn't stop when the office is closed as pricing managers can plan pricing decisions in advance.

Performance enhancements

• The most recent and most accurate data combined with 24/7 pricing optimisation and existing PriceNet Web and PriceNet Mobile modules ensures a faster response to market changes and improved performance for each site.

Compliance

• To help clients comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, fulfil internal business requirements and meet legislative and other regulatory constraints regarding pricing, PriceNet now has extended auditing capabilities to record how new prices are generated and authorised.
• A tiered user access structure gives management increased control and reinforces pricing policy.

Biofuels

• Product groups have been introduced to help better manage pricing. These prevent cannibalisation between product types, therefore supporting the increasing requirement to meet biofuels volume targets. Greater insight into the relationships between fuels types significantly improves the management of biofuels and future alternatives. For example, identifying cross-price effects with regular fuels to determine the price-point at which customers switch fuel types.
